Arroz a Brasileria -Brazilian Style Rice

  • 2 cups long grain rice
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 small white onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  1. Heat the oil in a fry pan over medium heat.
  2. Sauté the onions until soft.
  3. Add in the rice and stir so the rice grains become shiny.
  4. Add in the water, cover and reduce heat to low, simmer until the water is absorbed and rice is tender.
