  • 1 lb flat meat or any other meat you like on the grill
  • 2 Tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 Tablespoon salt
  • For the salsa/sauce
  • 2 Tomatoes chopped finely
  • 1 onion chopped finely
  • 1 chili pepper according to your heat preference chopped finely
  • 1 Tablespoon oil
  • 1/2 Tablespoon vinegar


  1. To be authentic the meat should be cooked over charcoal but a gas grill will also work
  2. Cook the meat until desired doneness
  3. Cut into small bite size pieces
  4. Serve with chili pepper and salt for dipping
  5. Combine the salsa/sauce ingredients and mix well
  6. Add salt to taste.
  7. Note the meat is often served in a newspaper on the streets of Namibia
