  • 2 black plantains
  • oil for frying


  1. Cut off the ends of the plantain then cut it in half and then cut each half in half and remove the peel
  2. Put oil into a frying pan or a deep fryer could be used and fry until golden brown.
  3. Drain on a paper towel
  4. Serve warm as part of the plato typico or with some sour cream as a lovely snack
